National Debt Problems and Solutions
The current United States national debt is over 16 trillion dollars. The three biggest drivers of this debt are the military, medicare, and low personal income tax rates. American citizens and politicians who are unwilling to address these 3 issues are simply not being realistic.
There is no way to balance the budget without addressing the above 3 issues. Making cuts to small budget items like Planned Parenthood and NPR are just silly political gimmicks.
Solution: Either make massive cuts to both the military and medicare or raise everyones taxes, or a combination of both.
There is no way to balance the budget without addressing those three issues.
