Purple Public - The Political Voice For Moderate Americans

Religion and Politics

Unfortunately, about 25% percent of Americans are strongly influenced by religion when it comes to choosing their political figures. America was originally built on the belief that there should be religious tolerance, and it is always sad to see other Americans trying to push their strong religious beliefs onto others.

A person's ability to be a good politcal leader should not be judged solely on their religious beliefs.

Solution: Religion should always be kept out of politics. Anyone who studies history will discover that when religion and politics are mixed the outcomes are rarely good.
